Head Pro Recognition
PGA Pro Honored as International Book Award Finalist
Congratulations to Jerry for his latest success! The following clip is from a recent press release:
Jerry Chylkowski, Head Pro at Silo Point Country Club in Southbury and formerly PGA Teaching Pro at The Connecticut Golf Club in Easton has just been honored as a finalist for his book, Forbidden Golf from Communist Poland to PGA Pro, Finding Your Best Game. In his book Jerry outlines a unique and easy-to-implement technique which he developed himself while working on his PGA specialization program in Teaching and Coaching. Jerry is now one of an elite group of only about 2,100 PGA Pros in the United States who are specialized in this area.
Jerry relied heavily on the field of biomechanics when he developed this method. He says that “… just as everyone’s life is unique, everyone’s physical structure and playing ability is unique, and so is their path to learning, playing and enjoying golf.” And from that, sprang the idea to fit each player’s grip based on their individual body type. “While the way you grip the club doesn’t seem all that important, it actually plays a critical role in the biomechanics of your golf swing. It is also one of the simplest things to change…”
Jerry’s second book was published this Spring, The Golf Lesson, Increase Your Consistency, Improve Your Confidence. This book is a rebranding of the first for those who are strictly interested in his teaching method. Striped of the life-stories this book can be placed in your golf bag as a convenient reference.
Easy to read and right-to-the-point; Jerry explains his method, which has been shown to improve both accuracy and distance. A companion video which demonstrates exactly how to implement Jerry’s recommendations is soon to be made available. Jerry’s website is onepathtogolf.com
