Dear Valued Members,
I want to start off by saying Thank You to all of you for being so patient and understanding about our closure this week due to the damage that was done by the rain this past Sunday and Monday. The course received significant damage during the storm and the Maintenance Team has been putting in herculean efforts to get the golf course back to playable conditions.
I would like to share with you some of the damage the storm had on the golf course.
Hole 3 the top of the cart path collapsed making it unusable for any carts to go down the path. We will be doing emergency paving on this cart path both Thursday and Friday so it will be ready for the weekend.
Holes 17 & 18 will have larges areas of Ground Under Repair for the time being while we gameplan a solution.
Certain areas of the course are still soaking wet for both maintenance equipment and carts to access. It is imperative that we adhere to staying on the cart paths and roughs at all times during play. We must abide by all ropes and carts signs while out on the course.
We had multiple bunkers get washed out and we are currently refilling them with new bunker sand.
Hole 6 has multiple silt deposits on the fairway the lift, clean, & place rule will be in effect during this time in certain areas.
Greens have been aerified while we were closed as per our maintenance schedule.
I am pleased to announce that starting this Saturday, August 24th we will REOPEN at 8am for both Saturday and Sunday play, this will allow Brett's team the extra time they need each day to get the course ready. We will honor all per-existing tee times on the tee sheet. Please, be aware that there is a 90 minute delay on each day! For example, if you had a 6:30am tee time on Saturday and or Sunday your new tee time will be 8:00am on Saturday and or Sunday. If you are unable to make your new adjusted tee time please call the pro shop to cancel or cancel your tee time online via the Silo Point website or App.
Again, thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this difficult week. We look forward to seeing all of you back on the course this weekend!
Sincerely,
Chris Caulfield
